Neuman Forest Products, a division of Haliburton Forest & Wild Life Reserve, has an opportunity for a skilled and experienced Sawmill Operator to join our sawmill operations team. The Lower Madawaska River Provincial Park and the nearby Class II and III rapids make the region a destination for paddling, fishing, hiking, and year-round outdoor recreation. Your Contribution

The Sawmill Operator plays an essential role in converting locally harvested timber into valuable wood products. Through safe equipment operation, attention to quality, and efficient production practices, this position supports local forestry, manufacturing, and economic development in the region.

Compensation

• $21.79 to $23.20 depending on relevant experience
• Comprehensive benefit plan after probationary period

Our Schedule

• 40hrs/week.
• Day shift – 6:30AM to 5:00PM Monday-Thursday

Role Responsibilities

• Safely operate sawmill machinery, including edgers, trimmers, resaws, headrigs, conveyors, and related equipment.
• General housekeeping duties (e.g., keeping tallies of lumber bundles processed);
• Clean lockout areas during work stoppages.
