JOB LOCATION: 165 Line 4 South, Oro-Medonte - Just 10 minutes north of Barrie (Public Transportation is not available)

JOB PURPOSE:

Our Set-up Technicians are integral to the successful operations of MPC and are responsible for changing out and setting up injection moulds and associated equipment as well as ensuring that all process parameters are set properly and parts meet specifications.

DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform mould changes and cell set-up as well as troubleshooting machinery and equipment
• Ensure process requirements are met and utilize scientific moulding techniques to ensure quality and machinery efficiency
• Complete daily paperwork and record reasons for downtime
• Troubleshoot plant equipment including molding machines, grinders, robots and auxiliary equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement and assist in its implementation
• Adhere to all plant safety rules and policies, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment
• Perform any additional tasks as assigned
• Promote MPC's core values and actively contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• · Experience as an Injection Molding Set-up Technician / Mould Technician
• · Knowledge of scientific moulding preferred
• · Material handling experience an asset
• · Ability to work at heights
• · Ability to handle heavy loads
• · Forklift Operator Licence or a willingness to obtain
