Objectif du rôle
La fonction SSE (Santé, Sécurité et Environnement) est responsable du suivi, de l’administration, de l’évaluation et de la coordination des programmes en matière d’environnement, de santé et de sécurité afin de promouvoir un lieu de travail sécuritaire et d’assurer la conformité aux exigences réglementaires applicables.
Diriger les activités et la performance SSE & Sécurité sur le site de Montréal, en agissant comme expert technique.
La personne assure l’intégration des réglementations SSE & Sécurité et l’alignement entre les standards de l’entreprise et les besoins du site.
Responsabilités
- Diriger les programmes et initiatives SSE & Sécurité sur le site, en garantissant la conformité aux réglementations.

Gérer l’amélioration continue des processus selon OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 et ISO 14001.

Coordonner les services externes (entretien, électricité, plomberie, maintenance, etc.).

Développer des relations efficaces avec les leaders du site pour maintenir une forte culture SSE & Sécurité.

Mettre en œuvre les meilleures pratiques et coordonner les activités SSE sur le site.

Agir comme expert technique SSE & Sécurité (audits, analyses comparatives, rapports).

Saisir les rapports mensuels dans la plateforme PRISM HSE.

Développer et fournir politiques, procédures et formations sécurité ; identifier les besoins et assurer la conformité.

Mener des initiatives durables visant la réduction d’énergie/eau et minimisation des déchets.

Assurer une veille législative SSE et communiquer les impacts aux parties prenantes.

Réaliser des évaluations de risques et dangers en environnement industriel.

Collaborer avec l’équipe SSE & Sécurité globale et les sites affiliés.

Réaliser des revues régulières avec la direction pour identifier opportunités et performances.

Superviser la gestion des matières dangereuses et l’inventaire d’équipements de sécurité.

Soutenir l’hygiène industrielle, sécurité incendie, ergonomie et le programme d’indemnisation des travailleurs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 ans d’expérience en milieu manufacturier.

Diplôme en environnement, santé & sécurité, ingénierie ou domaine connexe.

Atouts : certification Lean/Six Sigma, auditeur interne ISO 14001/45001.
Aptitude à voyager aux États‑Unis (- 5%).

Connaissance des lois et normes SSE locales/régionales.

Expertise en systèmes de gestion SSE (ISO 14001/45001).

Compétence en enquêtes d’incident, analyses cause‑racine.

Connaissance SGH, FDS, étiquetage des produits chimiques, déversements.

Biens contrôlés et technologie (CGP)
Ce poste implique la manipulation de biens et données sensibles soumis au Programme des Marchandises Contrôlées du Canada (CGP).
Une vérification de sécurité sera exigée (statut, casier judiciaire, etc.), conformément au DPA et CGR. Toute divulgation à une personne non autorisée constitue une infraction criminelle.

Job Purpose
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) function is responsible for monitoring, administering, evaluating and coordinating environmental, health and safety programs to promote a safe workplace and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
This role leads Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (HSE&S) activities and performance at the Montreal site, serving as the technical expert for HSE and Security. The individual ensures the integration of HSE&S regulations and guarantees alignment between company standards and site-specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead all HSE&S programs and initiatives at the site, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and requirements.

Manage adherence and continuous improvement of processes in accordance with OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.

Coordinate external contractor services for facilities' needs, such as, but not limited to, janitorial services, electrical, plumbing, routine maintenance, etc.

Build effective relationships with site leaders to sustain a strong HSE and Security culture.
-
Implement best practices and coordinate HSE activities across the site.
-
Serve as the technical expert for HSE & Security, providing guidance and support for audits, benchmarking, and reporting.

Input monthly site reporting into PRISM HSE Platform.
-
Develop and deliver safety policies, procedures, and training programs; Identify training needs and ensure compliance.

Drive sustainability initiatives to meet energy and water reduction targets and minimize waste generation.

Stay current on HSE legislation and communicate impacts to internal stakeholders.

Conduct hazards evaluations and risk assessments in industrial settings.
-
Liaise with HSE & Security leadership team and sister sites globally.

Complete regular HSE&S reviews with site leadership to assess performance and identify opportunities.

Oversee hazardous waste management and maintain safety equipment inventory.

Support industrial hygiene, life safety, ergonomic compliance, and workers compensation program administration.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, required.

Significant relevant experience in lieu of degree considered.

Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field

Preferred: Lean/Six Sigma experience; Internal Auditor certification for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Ability to travel to the United States as required (approximately 5% of the time)

Knowledge of local and regional environmental, safety, and health laws, regulations, and standards.

Expertise in Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).

Proficiency in incident investigation procedures, including reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action development.

Understanding of Global Harmonization, SDS (Safety Data Sheets), chemical labelling, spill reporting, prevention, and exposure control.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
-
Excellent spoken and written English skills required; ability to understand and communicate in French (intermediate level) preferred.
Controlled Goods and Technology
A part of this position, you will be required to examine, handle, or transfer highly confidential equipment and technologies, including technical data or any technical assistance (such as instructions, training, etc.) classified as controlled goods. These goods have military or strategic significant, are critical to national security, and are strictly regulated under the Defence Production Act (DPA), and the Controlled Goods Regulations (CGR), as part of Canada’s Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

Work environment is typically considered within a client location during normal or extended business hours to include offices, manufacturing plants and repair facilities. The work environment may also include customer sites, including oil well sites, and meeting venues. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, and approved PPE is required when on the factory floor.
