It all started with a technological breakthrough. In the 1990s, as national networks began transitioning from microwave to fiber, our team developed an innovation that would help build the future of connectivity. Ledcor patented a rail‑based plow system that allowed our telecommunications team to work more efficiently without having to shut down busy rail lines. The team transformed a front-end loader into a fiber‑laying machine able to clear and reenter train tracks within minutes. This led to the construction of over 35,000 kilometers of fiber cables, connecting major cities across North America.
