Cons
It is the worst-kept secret that McGill is well-known among industry H.R professionals as a bad place to work - difficult to get in but very easy for the door to be shown to you. A highly negative work environment, extremely low pay for the amount of responsibility some jobs require especially when you compare it to similar positions in the private sector. It might be alright for academics and research associate types but for managers and administration, the place is a mess, further compounded by various unions who do not help matters at all.
