They have a lot of work in theory. Project would have lasted through the winter than most organizations doing similar work. The other guys doing JOP firesmart in town are getting a $3 an hour lower wage and getting paid for driving.

Very disorganized and pretty poor at communicating anything. It may just be the Job Opportunity Program. I was interviewed told I would be called to do training in the next couple of days, took three weeks till we started. We got laid off and were told we'll start any day and that went on for 43 days before they finally officially laid us off. It may depend on the project supervisor but it seems a company culture. Don't ever expect a thank you or any positive reinforcement on anything. Here we won't train anyone and spend the end of every day screaming at people for being near snags or production being too low, even though production problems are more to do with shitty bidding than anything else. As an employee your pretty much in the dark about anything.
