Unless You Are A Member of the Masons You Will Not Succeed
Pros
Benefits were decent. They are one of the few companies that has a pension. Other than that.... meh.
Cons
This organization is connected to the Masonic Temple. You need to be a member to advance. They will approach you at some point in your career if you meet the qualifications of the outside organization. If you are not a member they will acquire your work and give the credit to another member who will gain advancement in the organization. These practices have also encouraged a high level of nepotism. A small number of families have been in control of this organization for generations. The highest ranking members of this organization are both Masons and descendants/spouses of descendants of past members of leadership. While Nepotism is legal in Canada if a policy is in place I personally found it frustrating and hopeless. There is also a heavy focus on sales. Given the sensitive nature of the products and services this organization provides the public... I was taken aback by the attitude of management.
