The management is by far the worst part of this horror movie. completely apathetic towards their staff and only care about saving face for head office. I have had by far the worst experience working here and have heard the same from literally every single other staff member. There hasn't been a single shift in my entire tenure at The Rec Room where I haven't left the building saying "What the #%^&" to myself This place actually does have potential but sadly the management is horrendous. There have been numerous lawsuits and Labour Board claims filed against this place but sadly because it has unlimited mountains of cash from Cineplex it'll just keep on chugging away.

- Little to no shift security - Overstaffing - When not over staffed playing favorited and only give them shifts. - Not disability safe. They do not care they’ll yell at you or ignore the issue till you break down. - Minimum wage yet you have to do 3 diffrent jobs at the same time. - Customers get upset about pricing but we can do literally nothing. - Not allowed to come in on off days without permission from management. (So no stopping by with family last minute.) - No communication - Super money hungry - Will lie to your face - Like any normal work place you get three right ups... however these write ups can be legitimate, like having your phone on you, or utter nonsense, talking to another employee about workplace related information like , who’s in the building, what’s going on at XYZ location, any new promotions management didn’t tell you, is VR full, ETC. - Emails you in the morning to cancel shifts if they deem it too slow earlier in the day. - Management is all over the place not just with communication.
