“A true career path opens up learning and growth opportunities.” Vin Tan, Principal Consultant, Capco Malaysia "I started my career as a lecturer in one of the local colleges in Malaysia, but found the work too routine and took the tough decision to move into industry. I was lucky that my teaching experience led to me being hired as a trainer for a local consulting firm that specialized in workflow solutions for banks. I had to work hard to pick up new domain knowledge about the banking and IT industries, however, I met a mentor who helped to train me to be a consultant and a Business Analyst. Now I am proud to tell people that consulting is my career, and to advise the younger generation to choose a career path, not just a job. The key difference is that a true career path opens up learning and growth opportunities. That’s why I feel I made the right choice six years ago, when I chose to join Capco. In particular, Capco’s coaching model never fails to amaze me through its ability to help employees to grow personally and professionally. At Capco, I continue to coach, to

Capco Canada (CATO) is committed to helping our local communities. Recently our Action for Equity and Women@CATO communities ran a fundraiser and product drive for a non-profit organization, @The Period Purse. Period poverty is the struggle many low-income women and girls face while trying to afford menstrual products. It is a symptom of the economic vulnerability females face caused by the high prices of menstrual supplies. A 2021 report showed that 34% of Canadian females have had to sacrifice something else within their budgets to afford menstrual products. Capco hit its fundraising target and collected 1272 sanitary products that will be distributed throughout local communities. We are proud to support this local initiative, thank you to our teams and all our contributing Capco employees. #Capco #PeriodPoverty #PeriodPurse
Today, women across all industries are underrepresented and underpaid compared to men. It is a huge concern that women are still far from being afforded equal opportunities to take on leadership positions within financial services, and specifically within wealth management. To succeed in this competitive, disruptive environment, firms must fully embrace the move towards equality by being more proactive in their efforts to empower future leaders of wealth management. Introducing Women in Wealth! Capco spoke to three senior executives who are shaping the wealth management industry on how women offer opportunities to the industry as customers, as advisors, and as leaders. In the upcoming weeks you will have the pleasure to hear from Aegon's Deb Waters, Guardian Life's Marianne Caswell, and Prudential's Salene Hitchcock-Gear.

Be inspired by the next generation of women technologists at @Capco. At a joint virtual event in partnership with @SheCanCode earlier in the year, Emily Turner discussed how #remoteworking can feel isolating at times and shared some of the ways that companies can keep their remote engineering teams connected and engaged. At Capco we recognize that that there are valuable steps we can take to enhance female representation in the industry and that diversity and inclusion sparks the innovation that enables us to deliver work-class solutions to our clients.
