I’m being trained by three different people, and they’ve all given me different instructions for the same task. How do you politely find out what the official process is versus just their personal style? I don’t want to pick up bad habits, but I also don't want to ignore a teammate's advice.
Is it okay to make small talk during active work hours? I've always saved casual chats for breaks, but recently noticed that my manager often starts informal conversations with teammates who seem distracted. Do you engage in small talk at work or do you find it too disruptive?
I’m my own worst critic and should know better. For example, I’ll deliver solid work all week, but if I make even one small mistake, I suddenly feel like a total failure. Why is it so hard to let the little things go? Any tips for being kinder to yourself when you mess up?
You know that one coworker who never really talks to anyone? They show up, do their work, and that's it. No chatting in the breakroom, no small talk. How do you feel about them? Secretly jealous, a little put off, or totally unbothered?
When you disagree with a decision that was made by upper management, how do you voice that to your immediate supervisor?
I still believe leadership leads to give direction but I assume it depends on the industry. For more dynamic teams I’m assuming you’d rather your team approach things their own way
100% agree
Early direction then just support
