The job ad posted for this position, was nowhere near what the position actually entailed. It was basically sitting in the human resource person's office, answering their phone, and mostly just data entry. The job ad did not state this and was actual human resource assistant typical duties.
The hiring manager at the time, told me she was going to take off her HR hat and continued to tell me I should stay where I am making my salary cause I wouldn't make it there. This was after me telling them my expected salary when they called me for an interview, and still told me to come in.
She also asked how many files I handle on a day-to-day basis, and I said at the time only 20-25 because this is what our industry entails and on top of 25 employee files, I have to keep project files open and all the work that goes along with that. She told me it was concerning because I would need to do 200 there, however she did not understand that I am opening and closing files constantly so this is just how many we have open, and felt like she was undermining my ability to do this many.
This interview was a complete waste of time and found them to be unprofessional saying they were going to take off their HR hat.
