      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Benevity in Jul 2023

      Interview

There were only two rounds. The very first round was a mix between behavioural and technical. The second round was with the technical manager. Team seemed to be really nice and friendly. The technology stack is outdated. Looks like they have big issues with current architecture and in the light of recent lay offs they try to hire people again to rebuild/update the system. I really didn't like HR, this person seemed to be pushy an toxic. Not competitive compensation. Guys pay more or hire only fresh grads :)

      Software Developer Interview

      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Benevity

      Interview

After reaching out to offer me an interview, the HR recruiter took over a week to respond to emails coordinating a time (and though I gave her 3 different times, she chose a time where I very clearly stated that I was unavailable). As for the actual interview, the hiring team was great. They asked good questions, they were engaging, and we had a great conversation. The HR recruiter was also notably late for the interview. They ultimately made me an offer for 15% less than my salary at the time and the HR Recruiter told me it was a reasonable pay cut to "transition into tech" which felt really abrasive. She also pressured me for a verbal acceptance when she called with the offer, where a polite "Take some time to sit with the offer and let me know!" would have been a lot more appropriate. I ended up declining the offer because of how off-putting the entire process was.
