I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Borea Construction (Toronto, ON) in May 2015
Interview
I had been told by a recruiter that Borea needed a Senior PM for a turnkey wind farm. The Borea HR interviewer knew almost nothing about the project or wind energy in general. I'd hoped to learn more about the project and scope of work from the Project Director, but he didn't show up for the interview - had a "project emergency." I was told they'd be in touch the following week, to reschedule, but they failed to do that.
Had I known Borea's scope of work on the project was for civil work only, I'd never have bothered to apply. I learned later of their concern that my usual base pay was 30% higher than that of the young PD I'd be reporting to. So what? This interview was a complete waste of my time. If the rest of the company is as inept, no wonder they have such poor reviews and such high turnover.
