I applied via a referral. Recruiter appeared in rush. They called me and pushed to appear for a technical interview the next day or in couple days. It looked strange because they never had recruiter chat with me at all. Interviewed for an hour with HM, recruiter, a senior dev and HR lady combined. Primarily, there were hiring for go lang dev. I was able to answer go lang based questions. They spend larger time in some api design related and security based questions. They never responded to my follow-ups on the interview outcome. No closure, Ghosted basically.

Question 1
Nothing based on resume. They went straight into technical questions.
In the beginning, they require you to do a phone call/teams meeting with HR, and then do an interview with members on the team you are applying for. For me, the HR call lasted 10-15ish minutes, and the actual interview about 30.

Question 1
describe a time you dealt with conflicts in a team
The interview was largely unrelated to the job description listed (Chicago based). The description was for a .NET engineer, yet half the questions were about front-end and databases. I was told by the recruiter that the interview would be a .NET live coding session, but it was actually just a bunch of "define these terms", like they searched "software engineer questions to ask" 5 minutes before the interview.
If you're hiring for a backend .NET engineer (not fullstack), why are you asking questions about SQL and Javascript? (which weren't mentioned anywhere on the JD). If you truly want a fullstack dev, advertise that on the job description and increase the pay accordingly (because the rate they're hiring for is FAR below the compensation for a fullstack dev).
