I have interviewed with 4 different Director M&A positions at various Constellation divisions and it is extremely disappointing at their level of respect for candidates time. Each role has followed the same process that is very slow - initial screening interview, hiring manager interview, in-depth case study and then presenting/discussing the case. In each event, their case study ask is highly unreasonable to ask a potential candidate to do, in addition to vague instructions on what they are looking for. In each case, I have received highly positive feedback to only receive a generic email saying it is not a fit. I understand that these are competitive processes but the lack of respect for candidates time is unacceptable and highly unprofessional. From speaking to other candidates who have applied for Constellation roles, they have described similar experiences. I understand that Constellation considers themselves a world class organization but the way they treat candidates is cruel. Just because you can ask candidates to do anything doesn’t mean you should.
