I had this interview a while back but it's been on my mind and want to warn others. I was referred by someone and "offered an interview". I say this because the manager sent me an email 2 hours prior to hop on zoom, I didn't see it and they called me and told me they were waiting. I get on as fast as I could, and for the next 1.5 hours this person grilled me for every single point on my resume. I was asked to pull up things on my computer as proof and to explain *exactly* what I did. It was almost as if they didn't believe me or that I was embellishing my roles. After the interview I had never felt more disrespected and beat down over a minimum wage STUDENT position. I decided not to say anything at the time because I was planning on becoming a dietitian and this person could one day be my preceptor. It was extremely unprofessional, I have gone through many interviews and have never experienced this. It was almost as if they didn't actually want to have to hire someone and made it unbearable. Funny enough, they accidentally opened their email and (I'm guessing) the person before me said they were no longer interested in the position after meeting the manager.
All of this to say, I was deeply disappointed that Diabetes Canada would keep someone like this around for as long as they did. People like this is what discouraged me from ever entering dietetics.
