I interviewed at Marshall (Cambridge, England) in Jun 2023
Interview
Two interviews, one virtual and one in person.
There was a real fixation on experience dealing with big problems. Giving examples of navigating challenges never seemed sufficient and they spent a long time on this topic pushing for more examples of how many problems I had experience fixing. As a Project Manager you have to resolve curveballs all the time but this was a red flag to me on the company's competence and how they may operate.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to deal with something going wrong on one of your projects, and how did you resolve it?
Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your interview experience with Marshall last year.
We are sorry to hear about your experience at interview, we work very hard to ensure all candidates coming for an interview have a positive experience regardless of whether they are successful or not.
We will pass these comments on to the senior project management team.
Best wishes
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Marshall (Cambridge, England) in Aug 2018
Interview
I had 2 one hour interviews on the same day. The first Interview was with HR and the Head of Programmes and it was more character based with a bit of an overview on Project management based questions. The 2nd interview which was about 15 minutes after the 1st was with a Senior project Manager and a Program Director. This interview was based more on project methodologies, PM tools used and description of scenarios based on own experience.
Marshall replied on the same day and said that they were keen but the program director of the department they would of like to put me under was currently away and therefore I had to have another interview the following week to meet him and see whether the work relationship is good between us. That was another 1 hour interview but more informal which I appreciated cause it gave me an opportunity to meet the potential future Manager and asked more direct questions such as, what are the current projects and pipe line like?

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Marshall (Cambridge, England) in Jun 2014
Interview
2 interviews held in quick succession of each other. 1st was around understanding technical ability. 2nd interview was around my fit to the company. Hiring process was quite painful and there was no role description sent out explaining management levels.
