I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at NEO Exchange (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2015
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter who found my LinkedIn profile. Since I was ready to explore other opportunities I decided to give AEQ a shot (never heard of them before). There was a pre-interview screening test that I had to return to the recruiter (very easy if you have some Unix experience). Next level was a phone screen with a hiring manager who asked lots of technical questions again about Unix - some of these were on the test I did the night before. He was happy and scheduled an in-person 1-1 interview. More technical questions on Databases, Software Engineering, Security and Business Domain knowledge. Then I was asked to come back to meet the executive member.
Very technical interview - I was lucky my skills were current.
The following day I got an offer from the recruiter - the salary was lower that previously promised. I had to negotiate hard just to make the recruiter honor their earlier commitment.
