Other Administrative Assistant Interview Reviews for University of Michigan
straight forward and over zoom. depends on what department you’re interviewing with. I interviewed with the Alumni Association. It lasted 10 minutes and consisted of questions about organizational skills and communication skills.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI) in Sep 2023
Interview
I had two 1st round interviews for two Admin Assistant positions at two different departments in the same week. Applied online ->received two emails after the closing day to schedule a Zoom interview [Week 1] - Met on Zoom [Week 2] -> heard back from one to schedule an in-person interview (Job A) / didn't hear back from the other one (Job B) [Week 3]--> Got the Job A offer the following week [Week 4] In general, a short turnaround time was given - they sent an email to schedule an interview in two or three working days. Job A: The interview invitation email was long and welcoming, and the staff asked if I needed any accommodations for the interviews. I met all the staff on the 2nd interview, and they were super positive, fun, and considerate. I was so thrilled to get the offer from this office. Job B: The Zoom interview was quite formal, and when I asked what they liked about working with that team, there was a moment of silence, and they didn't know what to say. Very different from Job A office. I didn't hear back from them, but I did send an email later to thank them for the interview opportunity.
