Akron General Health System helps keep the residents of Akron and northeastern Ohio in the pink of health. The health care network's primary facility is the Akron General Medical Center, a tertiary care teaching hospital with more than 500 beds. Other Akron General Health System facilities include the Lodi Community Hospital, a rural hospital with 25 beds that has been designated a critical access facility, and the Rose Lane Health Center, a long-term care facility with about 170 beds. It also includes several Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Institute locations. In addition, the health network includes satellite general practice, radiology, and specialty care clinics, as well as home health and hospice facilities.
