Description Searching for a sensor, solenoid, or switches? CARQUEST can steer you in the right direction. The replacement auto parts distribution group boasts more than 3,400 member-owned locations in the US, Canada, and Mexico, and it runs about 40 distribution centers. CARQUEST sells its own line of auto parts (made by Moog Automotive, Dana, and Gates) to independent jobbers and wholesalers for eventual resale to professional repair centers, service stations, dealerships, and do-it-yourselfers. CARQUEST was rolled out by General Parts in 1974 as a national marketing program for independent distributors. General Parts is the largest single member-owner in CARQUEST's network, with about 1,400 locations.
