Description Strongco muscled its way into the industrial equipment business. The company distributes, sells, leases, and services multi-line machinery for the road building, mining, forestry, municipal, and industrial market sectors. Strongco operates about 25 branches throughout Canada. The company, also known as Strongco Income Fund, handles machinery made by a variety of companies, including Case, Manitowoc, and Volvo. The bulk of Strongco's sales comes from equipment distribution services. In 2009 Strongco sold its unprofitable Engineered Systems division for C$6.5 million (nearly $6 million) in cash. The move allows the company to focus on its core business in construction equipment distribution.
