Pros

Free drinks if that matters to you.

Cons

This company is the worst company I've ever seen. I have not been given any reviews or raises. I have not even been given my vacation pay and they are trying to avoid paying me out. and you never get 30 min breaks which is technically illegal. It has recently gotten even worse, at least a couple hours every 8 hour shift I work is now worked alone.... I can absolutely not handle this anymore. A young woman should NEVER work alone, this is dangerous and terrifying especially for such low pay and should not be legal. Especially since I have told them I get very bad anxiety, they do not care. Constantly being switched around to work mornings, afternoon or graveyard shifts. I am a 22 year old attractive woman and I am very shy, anxious, dyslexic and soft spoken, so I feel that they especially take advantage of the fact I have a lot of trouble standing up for myself because I lack confidence and treat me like Im dumb. Sometimes hours are missing on my pay stubs... And many times I haven't been even given my pay stubs even after asking. I have signed up for dental insurance over 6 months ago and STILL have not been given it !!!!! I am very depressed, my self-esteem is horrible and I get terrible anxiety about work everyday and have panic attacks related to work ... This job is destroying my mental health and well-being, would not recommend anybody work here. Currently looking for new employment. Used to get 40 hours now my hours range from 32-40. Can't afford to live on this. I feel completely disrespected and exploited and laughed at by this company. I am only being paid $10.50 an hour (minimum wage had raised in sept. from $9.95 to $10.20). All the new employees are being now paid more. This is absolutely wrong and shameful especially since sometimes I have to run their store ALONE. The worst part is that even MCDONALDS paid me a $1 more than this. They keep adding new services and making employees worker harder WITHOUT any increase in pay. And they expect employees to "not defend themselves" if a robber attacked them according to "policy". I bring a switch blade and bear spray to work every shift just in case a customer tried to kill me because it wouldn't be worth losing my life for. And "no tip" policy, Nope, every single tip customers have given me, I have taken. Boycott 7 eleven.! Please don't work here or consider it, it is not worth ruining your health for or worth your time at all. I also mention I now have about 10 gray hairs underneath my dyed blonde hair because of all the stress working for this company has caused me and I'm not even 23...

Pros

Past the store clerk level the pay can be good, and the benefits are good for this type of work. You will also meet some good people.

Cons

No matter what they say at the interview, 7-eleven wants drones, they want you to do what you are told. They will talk about leadership and thinking outside of the box but it is not the reality of the job. Advancement is based on who likes you not on your performance.

Cons

lots of hours, I was just a number for them, they lied to me and changed the sales numbers in my store so that they will not pay me bonuses. always wants more and more from me and my staff, i was working in convenient store as the manager but also it was a restaurant too lots of cooking, baking and managing the store and they wanted me to save on labor too, can you imagine the amount of tasks i had to do on a daily basis, finally I quit.
