Decent pay as an intern, good location if in Toronto,

Cons

Nepotism is incredibly heavy. You can do an amazing job but get screwed out of a job opportunity if you're not related to a fund manager. Left a very sour taste in my mouth.

Outstanding captain of the boat, but with useless crew members

Pros

- You can experiment on different ways as long as you get the job done - Plenty of different projects where you gain different experience - Different events for employees

Cons

- Budget for those events are getting so small that they are not attractive to go anymore - After you finish up the projects that can save the company money, they will just say you are no good or not fit for the roll and company - When you find the practical solution for the problem, middle management would always find a way to question you on why not solving the problem with the ideal solution - Middle management doesn't want to do much and take responsibilities, therefore problems existed a year ago would still exist a year later
