Pros

You make marginally more than minimum wage.. ...But you don't get benefits.... Tim hortons would be better I think

Cons

I was hired as a "promotional rep" Reps that join this job VERY LIKELY MAKE VERY LITTLE MONEY. Likely $150 per sale at one or two sales a week. If you're not being tricked into thinking you're a manager trainee, you're being hired as a promotional rep. Look up any alarm system - installation, and equipment is ALWAYS FREE. They train you to tell customers they're getting a special deal. They're not. You work outside in the heat, and in the freezing cold knocking on doors. You are hired as a "Manager trainee" or something like that, but a large majority of people will make VERY LITTLE MONEY. I heard stories about managers talking others out of going to college/university to work at Alarmguard even though they weren't making sales. I know for a fact that at least one positive review on here is COMPLETE FABRICATION Managers make more money per sale than the reps. People join Alarmguard, realise they're not making enough money, then leave. I've never EVER seen anyone hit the training bonus - or whatever it's called these days. Most of the time they'll bring you into a boardroom to hire people in bulk because most people don't come back for training. You get NO BENEFITS. To put it into perspective - and don't believe the recruiter since it's his job to tell you pretty much anything to talk you into joining. Imagine you make 3 sales a week at $150 a piece.. 150x3 = 450 per week. PEOPLE RARELY MAKE 3 SALES A WEEK. Only those who have been there for a long time. But bare with me for a minute. Let's imagine you make 3 sales a week. $150 x3 = 450 450 a week, times that by 4 = 1800 1800 a month. Let's pretend you were there for an entire year. that's 21,600 a year. Keep in mind you DON'T get benefits. Let's evaluate that against MINIMUM WAGE IN ONTARIO. $11.00/hour as of May 3rd 2017 11 hours at 40 hours a week = $440/week 440 a week for a month (4 weeks) = $1760/week 1760 a month for 12 months = $21,120 WITH BENEFITS Honestly guys - I have nothing against sales. But for Pete's sake. If you're working on 100% comission, do something that at least pays. 100% comission is AWESOME. you make your OWN LIVING. This company is NOT going to pay you well.

Pros

Didn't find anything good about this company, except maybe for the fact that the office is close to Yorkdale Mall.

Cons

During the interview, the hiring manager told me that we would be paid a weekly compensation fee of $850, but during the training the manager told us that the job was 100% commission based. Also, I was told that the working hours were 1pm-9pm when in fact it was 12pm-9pm. Finally, during the orientation day, we didn't get any training concerning the products that we were to sell; the training manager only taught us how to talk and sell our products to the customers.

Pros

I don't have any positive things to say about the company

Cons

- They hire you for a management position and then put you in a field associate position - No paid training!! They say that there is paid training but there isn't - There is no hourly pay, they only pay you commission - Very unorganised - What I was taught in training, I was told in the field that it's wrong - Very Misleading
