      Pros

      a decent job close to home that puts food on the table and pays the mortgage

      Cons

      Hot , dirty , unhealthy job that used to pay well but has fallen behind for wage and benifits that have fallen behind ,a once proud Canadian company that is just another steel mill in the Arcelor chain. For blue collar hourly it's time for a union

      Pros

      You could spend your entire career there and do a lot of different jobs. It's pretty easy work and has a massive work force, so overload isn't a problem.

      Cons

      Uncompetitive pay, benefits are being stripped back every year, even a positive work performance review does not even net you a cost of living increase. You will make less here year-over-year.

      Pros

      Once you're in, you're in for life if you want to be. They really don't lay off and it's pretty hard to get fired.

      Cons

      Low quality middle management. They tend to take the worst workers and hope they do better in management positions. They refuse to listen to the opinions of the people who actually run the lines or work on the equipment, instead relying on the inexperienced opinions of this month's technologist or engineer.
