Pros

-Good discount on clothing and accessories -Decent place for a part-timer to gain a little experience

Cons

-Way too much stock (50-150 boxes a week, the back rooms are so small that boxes just get left all over the store and it looks like a junkyard) -Ridiculous dress code (even banks and government offices can wear dressy tanks that show shoulder) -The company doesn't care what sells, they expect you to cram all the stock possible into huge piles and then spend all day cleaning up from customers that have no way to shop except by digging in the piles -Dangerous work (boxes stacked too high, heavy boxes without any equipment to lift them) -Not enough staff -Not enough hours -High expectations (you can't do customer service when you have to move an entire wall of shoes peg by peg for 8 hours and only 2 employees and the other one is opening each individual pair of shoes of 70 boxes)

Pros

Wage is $13.00/hr . The only reason girls stay is because the pay is good, other then this there is nothing good about working for ardene

Cons

Extremely strict dress code. We couldn't wear half the cloths sold in the store. Only allowed to wear flats all day. At least 40 girls working here and the company is so cheap only giving out store $100 for the month to last us for cleanings supplies and toilet paper for the bathrooms which we always ran out of. Girls constantly quiting managers always changing. To Many of the managers friends taking advantage of the girls. If you were sick you have to prove it by having a doctors note for everyday that you are away( doctors note you must pay yourself each time) which can get very expensive. And the company is always coming up with outrageous rules to place on the staff. Not a happy place at all. All this took place on ardene in WEM. Stay away! !!

Pros

Good staff that are willing to learn and try their best.

Cons

Bad management They bully you and everyone else, no respect for their employees what so ever If you show us respect you will get respect in return They expect these girls to automatically know what they are doing and if you don't they are mean to you for not doing your job properly maybe try TRAINING your employees then. Instead of making employers clock out and stay an extra hour with out pay that's bs. Maybe your expectations need to be lowered cause clearly you can't reach them when you are making staff stay with out pay.
