Pros

Benefits are more generous than other firms, free food all the time, pretty office, parties and social committee. The only real possibilities of career growth are if you are willing to move abroad.

Cons

Too much overtime, no work-personal life balance, there is no support and services (no IT, no HR, no Administrative assistant, office facilities and marketing are bullies, you do everything yourself or you wait...), the pay is way less than competition... If you are not British you will feel the discrimination when it's time to be promoted. Same if you dare to speak you mind. Promotions are not for the most talented, creative and innovative staff, it's for the boss favorites and the Arup's followers... that don't disrupt anything.

Pros

Good for young engineers, great projects. Very international, lots of opportunities for travel. Great location. Decent pay and good benefits.

Cons

Couple of years as senior engineer. On surface, everything is well. Lots of young people, projects etc. But OMG some leaders are toxic to the unbearable levels. If you want to obey and don't ask any questions or challenge them - you are okay. If leaders see you as competition, even potential one in the future - better watch your back. God forbid you disagree with leadership on something and you openly express your opinion - you will be cornered in a month or two in meaningless tasks, with no opportunities to grow your career. Mostly young, inexperienced engineers, with lack of ambition will stick around longer. Others leave as soon as they see what is happening under the surface.

Pros

Large scale projects, dynamic work colleagues, pretty decent salary and benefits.

Cons

Weak leadership, uncompetitive fees compared to other more established firms in the market place, promotions seem to be based on favouritism and length of time served at the company rather than actual ability. The HR department is one of the poorest that I have seen at any company.
