Pros

-Free Tickets -Coworker Relationships -Stable Hours (in the sense they will have you working you as much is legally possible)

Cons

-Poor Management/Management Favouritism -Unsafe working conditions (not closing the park in freezing cold weather, letting employees get soaked in rain, young employees regularly passing our from heat stroke, uneven walking surfaces causing sprains/fractures etc) -Low pay for the amount of expected work. -LONG hours - at LEAST 3 additional hours (unpaid) of transportation time and waiting for buses before/after shifts as the bus schedule did not align with shift times. -HORRIBLE treatment from customers with no support from management. -On your feet all day long- not allowed to sit down even for a second. -Working in outside in uncomfortable, hot (employer-regulated/mandated) uniforms that you have to purchase yourself. -Breaks include walking time from work station to break room. Therefore, if you have a 30m break, and your station is a 6 minute walk from the break room, you end up having just 18 minutes worth of break time for an 8.5h shift. -Management has a storied history of racial discrimination.

Pros

This company knows how to deal with tons of young workers. They provide free bus transportation to and from Calaway and their training and starting wage is pretty good as well. The employee events are really awesome as well plus the free admission perks.

Cons

You're often treated like an object while you're there. For example, if it starts to rain and your ride has no cover well too bad hopefully you brought a poncho. Also, be prepared to yell most of your day if you get a position in rides. You'll also be at the park's mercy pretty much all day, and you won't be paid for quite a bit of your time, not that that's their fault given their locations. For example, forget about being paid for your 2 45-minute mandatory breaks and the time it takes to get to Calaway and back.

Pros

It's fun to see the little kids faces. It's also pretty easy to get a job. If you're working here- choose CONCESSIONS OR RESTAURANTS !!! Don't choose rides, it's dreadful. But the pros- there's a free ride, you get 5 free passes every month, umm, the food is pretty good. That's about it.

Cons

In the summer, I was so excited to work here. But I'm now looking for a new job. The one thing that I can't stand are the buses. I waste about 2 or more UNPAID hours just travelling and waiting for my shift to start. Ex; if my shift starts at 11, the only bus that comes before that is 10:20. So I have to wait for 40 minutes. Also, they close the park early a lot of the time. So if they close at 6pm, you have to wait 2 HOURS for the 8pm bus. 2 hours wasted. The hours aren't that great, and you only work 2-4 days a week (I thought it was 5/week when I applied). Most work days are also on the weekends which sucks.
