Pros
The hourly pay is good, benefits are good, pension is good, hourly people are awesome, they pull each other along. The work in the mine is interesting and rewarding, safety is only what you make it. Two deaths in the last few years, I use to work hundreds of hours of overtime to help the compqany fill orders, now since all the political crap has been going on, I dont feel like it anymore.. I wish it was the way it was three years ago.
Cons
profit sharingg payouts is non exsistant, even though the company claims record profits, some supervisors are complete bullies, intimidators, unsafe, foollish. They lie in the small things, therefore cannot be trusted with the big things. Same goes for Senior management in Kansas. You jerked us around CEO , you cant be trusted. The work schedules are terrible, no family life. Little to no vacation time, no personal rewards for excellence in work. Lay offs are to many and to long, makes for a disengaged workforce, dont review gallop poll findings, CEO insults goderich workers, by saying there something in the water that makes us different. What kind of a CEO says things like this and gets away with it? Stop hiring "green" managers.
