We don’t always get it right. Our recent employee engagement survey (with a 92% response rate) showed an extremely high level of satisfaction. That clearly isn’t true for you, which is why your feedback is important. It helps us improve.
The emotional safety of our team is something we take very seriously – and gossip is not something we condone. If you currently work for our team as your post indicates, please reach out to our HR Leader, your Leader, or our CEO. We’re all open to listening and finding actionable solutions where needed.
In terms of performance reviews, your comments lack accuracy. In recent years we’ve increased our employee touch base points. We now do quarterly check ins, as well as annual reviews – all with the goal of supporting positive professional development and success within our team.
Regarding our benefits package, that too is something we’ve been developing quite extensively with recent additions such as our Employee Family Assistance Program (which is funded entirely by us) and Group Retirement Savings Plan. This is in addition to our robust health coverage which includes: health, dental, life insurance and long-term disability, among other elements. We offer paid health and wellness days (that can be used for physical, emotional, family or relationship health), Flex Days (to allow for a greater work-life balance), and paid parental leave. With regards to vision care, unless you’re buying 2 pairs of glasses a year, it’s actually cheaper to simply purchase the glasses then pay the vision portion for benefit. For that reason, we don’t offer it. Instead we increased paramedical, which includes psychologists, social workers and psychotherapists because this applies more globally to our team.
If you would like to discuss your concerns in greater detail, again, we encourage you to reach out. Growth can only occur with two-way communication.
