Thank you for your note, and based on your request, we won’t ask you to reach out to HR or our leaders.
For context, we are deeply committed to diversity and inclusion, including race, religion, gender and sexual identity, ability and disability, both visible and invisible – and in no way would any parting with an employee be based on race as you suggest, or on revealing a disability. This is unreasonable. If you discussed requiring an accommodation, we would have gone to great lengths to provide a plan and supports.
Any parting with an employee would include a significant performance development plan, and many discussions as we did with you. We have a process for performance coaching and goals would have been established. As you know, the tenure of a majority of our teams is extensive. Despite many conversations and written emails that occurred, parting ways can sometimes feel painful. We felt that we invested significantly in your professional growth, and are disappointed that our efforts didn’t resonate with you.
If you were concerned with your earnings, we trust that you raised the issue. If you believe you are owed a commission that was unpaid, this is essential that you reach out – you can email payroll and they will help you. Any error, if there is one, would be addressed promptly.
We’re very happy for you that you have found a new role, and this will be exciting to begin a new chapter. Despite this review, we are in support of you in any way going forward – and wish you the best.
