Pros

It’s a paycheck. they pay on time

Cons

I’d think carefully before accepting a role in this internal audit department. The turnover rate alone should raise questions — there’s almost always a vacancy, and people frequently leave on stress leave. That’s not a coincidence. The workload expectations are unrealistic. You’re expected to own the full audit cycle with little support and tight deadlines, and the pressure doesn’t stop when you log off. Boundaries aren’t respected. Leadership has been in place for a long time and the culture reflects it. Feedback sessions can be harsh, and if you raise concerns, you’re more likely to be sidelined than supported. Multiple concerns have been raised through proper channels over the years with no visible change. Compensation doesn’t justify the environment. There are incentives on paper, but the retention numbers tell you how realistic those are. Other teams in the company are aware of the department’s reputation. That should tell you something. I wish I’d paid more attention to the signs before joining. I left because my mental health was affected
