Pros

Good pay, low drama, good equipment, consistent work. Appreciate that they don’t make us drive in bad weather.

Cons

No overtime pay, sometimes unpredictable schedules with dock work, no layover pay for when we’re sitting, not great benefits, no holiday pay.

Pros

Consistent pay for linehaul drivers

Cons

Trucks not kept DOT compliant. Every time my truck would go down I would write up 2-3 Trucks before I find one that would pass DOT inspection. Permits and mechanical issues. Trucks showing up to the meet point with false paperwork not including hazmat, trailers arriving unable to pass DOT inspection, no placards on hazmat trailers. I spent an extra 1-4 hours to get hazmat paperwork and placards straitened out. Not paid you are paid by the run not the hour. It gets excessive and speaking with the site manager to get paid "everyone else gets back with no issues". DOT needs to step in. Manager was thrilled when he found out he could keep drivers working the dock 2 hours past their 14 and have them start later. Also had them working 6 days a week with the excess overtime during the week not hiring dock workers
