Pros
Fun teams to work with, large scale events, great production value. Good benefits + compensation.
Cons
- Non-stop pace can lead to burn out
- Hearsay 'policies' that some people live by, yet others don't
- No sabbatical policy for pastoral staff
- Always wanting events, projects, programming to be 'bigger and better'
- Poor celebration of staff achievements
- Not many opportunities to grow and develop in your career
- Job descriptions are sometimes inaccurate of what you will do
- Not too much autonomy to change methods of ministry; managing and maintaining existing structures and programming seem to be the norm
- HR processes are painstakingly slow; HR doesn't seem to have great communication timelines
