Pros
- My department’s team is full of amazing and understanding people. Any intimidating or negative behavior will not be tolerated. - options of career development in the laboratory and desk jobs - the training for the job position is very thorough and the trainers are careful to adapt to every individual learning pace
Cons
- low salary - as an analyst, there are a lot of things to do in a day and sometimes with unexpected events you have to finish in overtime (not obligatory, but sometimes it’s hard to find someone to finish what you were doing so you end up staying later anyways) - there’s a lot of pressure to avoid any deviations, to the point where analysts are scared to make any mistakes - our supervisor is given a maximum range of money to invest in career development for the year. Therefore, if an employee is ready to move from analyst I to analyst II for example, but the quota has already been acheived, that analyst will have to wait until next year to get their salary augmentation
