Pros
- Elavon had invested considerable resources to continue to grow the Canadian arm of the company [at the time of my departure and currently to my knowledge]. - I had the opportunity to work in several positions within the company and it really was a great way to gain a lot of skills and launch my career. I believe this would be extended to anyone who could fulfil a different role than the one they started in. - The people are great, the culture (despite being a part of a 60,000+ people organization) is close-knit but inclusive. - Diverse backgrounds among co-workers. People are from all over the world and getting to know your team is bound to be interesting.
Cons
- The support structure (for employees and customers) is pretty spread out across the US, Canada, and even Ireland (Could also be a pro). - It's a big company so sometimes decisions seem to made somewhat arbitrarily, and bureaucracy can get in the way of making small improvements to process/policy.
