Pros
compared to other geotech firms....almost no pros. they do give you overtime after 44 in one week (some firms give you overtime after 88 in two weeks). depending on the project you might be able to hustle for an okay salary (>20/hr).
Cons
so many rotten people at this firm, in different offices and depts. and the few genuine people make sure to stay guarded so that they don't get hurt. admins are either disinterested or mean. management and senior colleagues try their best to NOT to care about anything that doesn't directly involve them. office culture sucks sooo much (at least in the Toronto office). nobody talks to each other, even to make small talk and be nice. everyone just walks around with am angry look on their face. how do people survive for 8hrs/day 5days/wk in such a place? the company intranet and timesheet software is horrible. people still don't know how to do their timesheet months after joining the firm cus the software is so complicated. ****If you are looking for an entry-level job as a lab or field tech....LOOK ELSEWHERE! The GTA is littered with geotech & materials testing firms. Englobe is horrible. You can get the same pay with more training, nice coworkers, and a happier time at most other firms.
