Pros
- Genuinely do have some of the most talented people. - Have a good external brand.
Cons
- Will mis-sell roles and make people take a step down as "their standards are high" but will make them work at a more junior level. - No transparency, lots of politics - often the messaging employees receive isn't the real story. - Will quietly make layoffs or close offices without communicating it to the rest of the company. - It's Brooklyn's way or the high way. - Talent, HR, resource, leadership etc will slam people behind their backs and also leadership in Brooklyn will openly talk badly about leadership in other offices, yet do nothing about it. - No reputation outside of the US, which they don't seem to get. - So.much.red.tape. - There are inner circle people and favourites with terrible personalities and some not so great at their jobs, but seem to coast along. - Created an excessive amount of levels, so people feel like they're getting progression (in a lot of cases, they're not.)
