Pros

I got an offer from this company on April 30th. After a few emails, I got in the mail a job offer and a cheque for $15K to go for training to Toronto. The offer came in a regular envelope, no company name on it and no address written from the sender. The cheque looks very good, so I went to the bank and it actually has the numbers from one of the real company accounts, but the account was closed, so no funds on it. The signature was printed from another document, does not look good. So I decided to go to the local branch and they told me that I was not the only one who got this scam, other people showed up one day before and some faxes were sent to them as well. Apparently this company closed their Toronto branch and they suspect from it.

Cons

Be very careful I am not sure what is behind all this, they never asked me for money, so at the end they are ruining innocent people that may potentially feel on this and will end up with no job and debt after arranging all for the 3 weeks training in Toronto based on a fraudulent cheque.
