Pros

This company is part of group of much larger companies involved in petro-chem industry. Large size allows for good benefits. Public transit is outside the factory, and is inside Toronto.

Cons

The management act like high school children, secret cliques backstabbing other people. The new employees are set-up as fall guys when leadership messes up. Leadership is afraid of the shop supervisors, so nothing changes and this company is stuck in same condition for passed 10 years. The shop is dirty and run down, BIRD POOP is a big problem. VERY COLD in winter.

Pros

Good insurance. The Atlanta office was more flexible with remote/hybrid work

Cons

The politics. People devalue teammates. Constantly changing direction so no meaningful impact can be made. Not a lot of diversity. If you don’t ask how someone’s kids are, you get complaints that you’re cold and difficult. Got there and a reorg killed the reason I was hired and was never provided with any sort of hope of growth opportunities.
