Pros
Benefits, friendly coworkers, good for folks who are looking for part time work and are flexible
Cons
My experience as a Team Member has vastly changed when I was promoted to manager. I would not recommend moving up beyond an assistant department manager. When hours are cut, department managers have to compensate by putting in their time. Poor work life balance. Longo's also expects it's managers to put in extra time essentially working for free and getting nothing in return. To save on hours, some department managers are operating without an assistant manager - this is challenging especially when vacation requests come in, people call in sick; there's no coverage...so what does that mean? If you care, you stay longer (10 hour shifts is a min) and or come in to work on your days off. This is retail so expect to close at least ONE night a week and work a day on the weekend. I do NOT recommend Longo's if you want to be a department manager - careful what you wish for.
