M30 Retail Services Response
11yI am the President of MSI Canada and here are my comments.
MSI Canada has been in existence since 2005 (9 years not more than 10). As with any job, if an employee is so unhappy, I wonder why they don’t look for other work elsewhere. We strive to ensure our employees are happy and encourage staff to discuss any issues with their supervisor.
MSI owners and employees have and continue to support The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, with over $150,000 in payroll deduction/owner matched contributions. As our company grows, we are looking at other options for increased community support. This reality does not mesh with the comment that ownership is ‘greedy’.
Full time MSI employees have always had and continue to have benefits that include dental and medical coverage, short and long term disability coverage, and more. Pension contributions are included in the salary. If the author of this comment is PT, they would not have been hired with benefits and would never have been promised benefits.
Months ago, as part of our yearly review, we discussed how our training could improve. Changes will soon take effect and we will be looking more into this area in the near future.
Many of our employees have been promoted. We have always looked internally to promote individuals.
Every year supervisors sit down with their direct reports to evaluate and discuss their performance. Salary increases are based on the individual’s performance as well as the economics of the business.
