Pros
Location, good benefits, students are great to work for, some faculties I heard are good to work for
Cons
The Faculty of Management at McGill is extremely toxic and I would avoid working here at all costs. Turnover is high. People are leaving because the environment is so bad across all departments, you name it. High level of bureaucracy, slow and poor decision making, lack of top-down transparency, unethical HR practices, major salary discrepancies between employees which don’t match the role, big push to find the cheapest employees to cut costs, no opportunities for advancement and finally, a Dean who doesn’t even say hello... elitist and has her own agenda... which doesn’t include appreciation for personnel. Apart from her inner circle, you will never see her, nor will she know you or care to know you. There are people in management positions here who come and go as they please, get paid to do absolutely nothing with zero accountability.
