Pros
-The customers, Metro workers, direct coworkers and vendors are mostly wonderful people. - Lots of Samples/free product
Cons
Where do I even begin? - Be prepared to be terminated at any given moment without proper feedback or notice. -Your value will be compared to the employee who is willing to nearly work themselves to death. -The only praise you can look forward to is the rare occasion when you meet their sales targets. - You will be constantly blamed oftentimes for things you have no control over instead of listened to and supported. - constructive feedback, problem solving and requests for assistance will either be met with defensive pettiness or simply ignored. - Hours for the store are extremely budgeted, not talking into account, training staff, the mountain of boxes and tasks you will need to take care of in addition to prioritizing your customers, reaching out to practitioners, scheduling and setting up demonstrations, etc. - Revolving door: in short, staff are underpaid for the expertise and education expected for their roles leaving stores chronically understaffed and managers chronically overworked. -Management expects you to take lieu days for overtime, yet this is impossible with the store being constantly understaffed. -This list literally goes on and on.
