Cons
I can’t speak for every department, but the Operations management team have created a truly miserable working environment. It starts at the top and seeps through every layer of management. The directors are fundamentally poor leaders who display glaring biases and a total lack of self-awareness regarding their own failings. They manage through exhaustion, push you to the breaking point, but the moment you raise a legitimate concerns about the workload, they turn on you. Recognition is non-existent, and for senior-level staff, career advancement is a dead end. The hiring practices are equally absurd. There has not been a single internal promotion to a manager level in over five years. Prior to that the most recent internal hire at management level happened to be a friend of the directors mentioned previously. The result is a toxic department from top to bottom: senior staff are rightfully disgruntled by the lack of opportunity, while junior staff are left adrift without training or support. Avoid this team if you value your career or your well-being.
