      Excellent company, but a lot of "shifting" strategy - Senior Program Manager OpenText Employee Review

      Pros

      - Average/above average for the geography salary - Outstanding benefits (eye, drug, dental, etc.) - Flex-days (3 days in-office/week) - Good learning/development budget - Well-respected/reputation

      Cons

      - Strategy moves too quickly, making it difficult to realize the value of staff efforts - Too many rebrands/product renaming is confusing for the market and customers - As with most organizations of OpenText size (huge product portfolio), resources are a bit "thin" - In-office work is a bit nonsensical as all but three of my team (20+) work in India or Europe, and I don't really work with the three teammates that are in my office.

      Pros

      Pros was that you had a job (and not for long if they find a way to outsource your position in the company).

      Cons

      Cons are so many to list, but from the leadership in this company being so out of touch with his/her employees, the restructuring done in their company to save some bucks on their end was crazy brutal, firing all of their talented workers to implement automated programs that did not function properly. Overall, horrible experience with OpenText, lies upon lies when it came to growth opportunities and keeping teams in the dark, no communication what so ever. Their business practices were just plain terrible.
