Pros
Little to none, there a few good people and the pay was ok.
Cons
Looking back at my tenure at Phreesia, it is difficult to find many positive aspects. While the compensation was competitive and I did have the pleasure of working alongside a few talented, supportive colleagues, the broader experience was deeply negative. Management & Culture Micromanagement: The level of oversight was extreme and often felt absurd. From prescriptive instructions on how to send simple emails to a pervasive, constant fear of being let go without cause, the environment was highly stressful. Favoritism: Management appeared to play favorites, which created a toxic atmosphere. Unfortunately, the company culture suffers from a lack of transparency and a lack of support for staff. Internal Politics: While there were some great teammates, there was also a significant number of individuals who seemed intent on setting others up to fail. Product & Customer Success Flawed Features: As someone in the Customer Success department, I was constantly under pressure to push product features that were fundamentally flawed. Lack of Direction: There is a disconnect between management and the actual product performance. Leadership seemed largely clueless regarding the daily challenges faced by the team in managing these products. Final Thoughts Working at Phreesia was an incredibly draining experience. Between the toxic office politics, the lack of support, and the pressure to defend subpar products, it is not a company I would recommend to those who value their mental well-being or professional integrity.
