The compensation is full commission based and does not reflect the professional expertise of the average sales representative. Commissions have been cut several times over the years making it more and more difficult to earn a decent living in this field. As with many sales positions, competition is cut-throat and the primary competition is often internal sales reps within Rogers who have more access to customer information than Prime Communications as a dealer.
