- Unmanageable workload: Managing the operational and strategic needs of 4-5 non profits in a 37.5 hour work week is unrealistic. The workload was extremely overwhelming making it difficult to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Lack of follow-through from leadership: Redstone hired an entirely new senior leadership team that does not have experience in the the non profit sector. They promise changes, even offering timelines for when employees should start to see those changes, yet months later, nothing changes at all. This led to ongoing stress and burnout among the entire staff.
- Limited resources and support: While employees who aren't on the senior leadship team are expected to handle diverse responsibilities across finance, events, and marketing, we receive minimal training or support to succeed in these areas. Because the senior leadership team does not have experience in associations, they are unable to offer help or guidance in most areas.
- Burnout culture: The "fast-paced environment" often lacks work-life balance. With high expectations and insufficient staffing, employees are left feeling exhausted and undervalued.
